Six of the team where joined by a few others for a three day first aid course provided by Guy Risdon at Adventure First Aid. We were kindly put up for free by the guys at Boulder Adventures. Along with the standard ABCDE drumming, we covered the specific problems encountered when using kayak kit (helmets and BAs can be especially awkward!), and some longer term care issues if we're a long way from the nearest hospital.

Nope. He's alive, but the awkward bugger can't walk. In the good old days we would have just left him for dead, but under Guy's eagle eyes, we'll have to actually take him out with us. Stretcher time.
